AGFAF HISTORY

2008 -  Drew University scholarship obtained and first student arrives from Afghanistan. AGFAF established as a fund within Community Foundation of New Jersey.


2009 - First Secondary School Placement at George School


2010 - AGFAF participates in "Return Afghanistan" program with the writer Khaled Hosseini and the photographers Zalmai and Joseph Hoyt. 


2011 - First AGFAF retreat held at Drew University, First Secondary School Graduation at Blair Academy


2012 - First Student Shamila Graduates from Drew University


2013 - AGFAF student wins Glamour Magazine's Top College Woman Grand Prize; more students than ever before have summer jobs in Afghanistan.


2014 - AGFAF recognized with "Empowerment Through Education" award; more than 33 students assisted and $1,000,000 raised since inception in 2008
